Marco Bonomo is Full Professor of Economics at Insper and Associate Dean of Research Degree Programs. He is also Associate Dean of Doctoral Program in Business Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University and bachelors and masters degrees in Economics from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ). His works have been published in Brazilian and international academic journals, such as Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Econometrics and Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. He is a recipient of the Haralambos Simeonides Award, the Mário Henrique Simonsen Award and the Richard Stone Prize in Applied Econometrics of the Journal of Applied Econometrics. He was the editor of the book “Finanças Aplicadas ao Brasil” published by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
Previously he served as president of the Brazilian Society of Finance, executive secretary of the Brazilian Econometrics Society and as visiting professor and researcher at institutions such as the New York Fed,Minneapolis Fed, Queen Mary University of London, Princeton University, The University of Chicago and Université de Montréal. He is a member of the Brazilian Business Cycle Dating Committee (CODACE), of the Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE-FGV). He was a professor at FGV’s Graduate School of Economics (EPGE) for 14 years and at the Economics Department of PUC-Rio for seven years.
