With the extraordinary increase in the availability of georeferenced data and the evolution of analytical methods, interdisciplinary research on cities has advanced significantly in several countries.
However, in Brazil, there are still relatively few efforts in this direction. Additionally, in the national context, there is a lack of innovative practices in city management and impact assessment on the efficiency of public policies for their transformation.
The graduate program in Social Urbanism - Urban Management, Public Policies, and Society is a pioneering initiative of Insper, training professionals to work in vulnerable territories through public policies and impact projects.
The program enables the continued education of public managers and professionals focused on this area of activity.
The program is designed for public managers, professionals from the private sector, both for-profit and non-profit, regardless of their age and academic background.
Also aimed at community agents, the program offers these professionals the possibility of admission without the need to present a higher education diploma and without any detriment to learning. In this case, the student will receive a Certificate of University Extension Course at the end of the program.
Applicants of this profile fill out the same application form as other candidates, being redirected by the Insper admissions team throughout the selection process.
