Program Director and Faculty

The graduate program in Labor Law offers professionals in the field a comprehensive academic experience, expanding critical thinking, analytical capacity, strategic vision, and multidisciplinarity throughout the program.

The program consists of mandatory Labor Law courses and elective courses from various areas of Law. This format offers the student the possibility to customize their education, exploring other areas of knowledge essential to the practical training required today.

The mandatory courses fulfill the fundamental formative function for the practice of labor law. The elective courses allow the student to direct and complement their education according to their specific area of interest.

Our teaching methodology focuses on solving practical issues in the business world and, therefore, prioritizes the effective learning of the student.

In our graduate programs, the final projects (TCC) have been replaced by collective empirical research projects, guided by a professional in the field. The research reports aim to map case law, doctrine, national and international practices to directly assist professionals in their day-to-day work.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the multidisciplinary dynamics of labor relations developed within the business environment;
  • Understand the interdependence of the various disciplines involved (from Labor Law itself to accounting, people management, legal department management, compliance, and digital law);
  • Analyze the legal problems and risks that frequently arise in the practice of Labor Law, such as issues related to hiring people and contractual responsibilities, forms of worker and administrator remuneration, from a labor and social security perspective, and conflicts arising from the employment contract and its variants, including termination and post-contractual issues;
  • Understand the role of the Brazilian union system and apply negotiation techniques in collective conflicts;
  • Resolve labor law issues within the supervisory bodies of the Public Labor Ministry and the Labor and Employment Secretariat;
