Insper Metricis and GO Lab (Government Outcomes Lab, Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford) are pleased to announce the 30th Socio-environmental Impact Workshop, which will discuss the topic of “Defining and focusing the target-population”.
The event will take place on August 10th, from 9 am to 10 am (1 pm to 2 pm UK time), at Insper, with a live stream available via Zoom. The workshop will be conducted in English, without simultaneous translation.
We will have the participation of speakers Flávia Tinelli and Ricardo Paes de Barros.

Flavia is the Impact Director at Acrux Partners, leading impact evaluation and measurement projects as well as research and consultancy development. She holds a degree in Sociology from the University of Buenos Aires and completed specialization courses in Monitoring and Evaluation Tools for Social Impact Projects at the University of San Andrés, Argentina. She has experience in the development and implementation of measurement, impact evaluation and data management studies. She oversaw the evaluation of the Social Impact Bond of the City of Buenos Aires and has participated in the development of metrics, indicators, reporting and monitoring systems for payment by results contracts in education in the Province of Salta, Argentina (UNDP), on refugee population (Open Society) and for the Argentine Food Bank Network (Fundación Alimentaris).
Ricardo Paes de BarrosProfessor Ricardo Paes de Barros holds a degree in electronic engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico da Aeronáutica (ITA), a master's degree in statistics from the Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA), and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Chicago. Postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Research in Economics at the University of Chicago and the Center for Economic Growth at Yale University. He was the Undersecretary for Strategic Actions at the Secretariat for Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic. He was a member of IPEA for more than 30 years, dedicating himself to studies of inequality, poverty, the labor market, and education. He is currently a professor at Insper and is dedicated to generating scientific evidence for the formulation and evaluation of public policies.
