The Professional Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) is the school’s new graduate course. With the objective of offering an analytical and methodological education, the new program is aimed at young researchers or professionals from public and private organizations, either for-profit or nonprofit ones, interested in assessing and formulating public policies.
MPP’s coordinator is the professor and researcher Sandro Cabral, who points out that the new masters program proposes to train students on the evidence-based elaboration, selection of courses of action, and evaluation of public policies, in several fields. “We will use data from real public problems in the classroom, thus enabling the practice of a wide repertoire of assessments and problematizing different aspects of the proposed solutions,” says Cabral.
“Insper already has a strong presence in the Public Policy field, with professionals highly recognized for their research in this sector, and initiatives that analyze public policies based upon evidence. The program offers a unique education for professionals who will contribute to the management of government projects in Brazil,” the coordinator ponders.
The program has a unique pedagogical approach, with a focus on management but also a strong emphasis in Economics and Political Science. Therefore, students will be qualified with a broad understanding of the scenario in which they are inserted.
With the beginning of classes scheduled for April 2019, applications are already available through the site.
