International exchange programs give students an opportunity to enhance their education while gaining exposure to the academic and cultural life of another country. After concluding the eighth semester of their undergraduate program, students can participate in two types of Exchange Programs, either semester or annual programs, since the maximum period for which a leave of absence can be granted is two academic semesters. Insper maintains partnerships with top universities in the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. See the universities with which Insper maintains exchange partnerships:

The admissions process for exchange programs consists of an analysis of the student’s academic performance, college transcript, certification of proficiency in English, conduct and motivation for pursuing the program. When applying, students can choose from up to four institutions, with the set of factors described above determining where the students will be accepted. If you are already an Insper student, go to the Student Portal for more information.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why participate in an exchange program? In addition to the advantages of an exchange program for students’ résumé and career, the experience of living in another country gives them an opportunity to experience a different culture, tackle new challenges, develop new skills and, at the end of their experience, acquire a new vision of the world that will influence their lives and future.

Will my credits be validated? Yes. One of the documents required by the admissions process is the study contact, which indicates the courses to be taken at the Destination Institution. The document must be preapproved by an Insper Dean and the maximum number of credits taken abroad that can be validated per academic semester is three elective courses.

Who can participate? The student must present good academic performance; be registered normally in an undergraduate program at Insper; be studying in at least the fourth academic semester; not have any violations of the code of ethics and conduct in the last two semesters; and present a certificate of proficiency in English.
