The initiative will have several actions that will be carried out to support the Insper Scholarship Program, which transforms the lives of young talents through access to quality education
Since October 15, those who believe in transformation through quality education have a new opportunity to be part of this history with the Transform with the Scholarship Program Campaign. It is a mobilization of students, professors, associates, alumni, and the Insper community as a whole to take part in a movement for a culture of giving by supporting our Scholarship Program.
The Scholarship Program allows hundreds of young people to study at Insper, regardless of their income and assets. Throughout the year, the initiative makes several efforts to raise funds for the program, and the Transform Campaign is one of these activities. Besides raising funds, it aims to bring the Insper community closer and strengthen the culture of giving.
With several fundraising activities, the program was created by Insper students and designed to attract different audiences, aiming to unite students, alumni, professors, donors, partners, and scholarship students for the cause. Among the activities we carry out during the campaign is the Giving Day, a major movement to promote the culture of giving for a more generous and supportive country. The campaign’s goal is to raise R$ 100,000, and all proceeds will go to the Scholarship Fund. Therefore, the participation of the whole Insper community is essential for the action to succeed.
“I have interacted with our undergraduate students since 1999. In all these years, besides teaching classes, I have been participating as a mentor in the Effective Problem-Solving program (REP, for its acronym in Portuguese). I advised many undergraduate theses and held events with student organizations. I followed and have been following up with many scholarship students, and the performance of these young people is indeed extraordinary. I take part in the campaigns by making a small monthly donation using my credit card. It may not seem like much, but I am sure that, together, we professors can help the talents that will make a difference in building a fairer society”, highlights Ricardo Rocha, Professor of Finance at Insper.
The Scholarship Program has already benefited over 530 students. Today we have 274 scholarship holders who represent 12% of the students enrolled in our undergraduate programs in Business Administration, Economics, and Engineering. That makes the Insper Scholarship Program one of the school’s main transformative initiatives.
Transforming
“The Insper Scholarship Program changed my life. It made it possible for me to graduate from one of Brazil’s best schools of Economics, come live alone in São Paulo, worry only about studying, have two financial market exponents as mentors during college, and, finally, work in the company I wanted in the field in which I graduated. It was only possible thanks to the Scholarship Program. Many of my dreams broadened because the program gave me that opportunity back in 2015. It was not just financial aid; it was much more than that. It was knowing that there were excellent people to help me with any goal I had, and that was what made it possible for me to get where I am today,” says scholarship alumnus João Batista.
