Career Center guides undergraduate, graduate, and alumni students to land professional opportunities
The Insper Career Center was created to assist in our students’ and alumni’s professional guidance and development. On March 10, it held the second 100% remote edition of our Career Fair. The initiative, which is promoted every six months, brought together 29 companies. They interacted with our school’s students and alumni, answering questions about selection processes, skills and techniques, competencies, professional tips, cultural fit, work routines, organizational culture, guidelines for LinkedIn profiles, as well as business climate, benefits packages, and particular differentials of each organization. Also, there was the promotion of internship, vacation internship, trainee program, and employment openings.
For Carolina Fouad, manager of Insper’s Career Center, the Recruitment Fair plays a key role in supporting the Insper community. “The fair is an event focused on offering knowledge about the job market, supporting our students’ and alumni’s professional growth, and fostering contact with companies. Our partners share their time and knowledge with our community, besides being on the lookout for our talents to recruit them later”.
At the online fair, each attendee was able to enter simultaneous rooms and interact with representatives from these companies: Ambev, B2W Digital, Bain & Company, Basf, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Grupo Cia de Talentos Group, Cielo, Citi, Credit Suisse, Dasa, Embraer, IBM, Idwall, Integration, Itaú, Johnson & Johnson, Kearney, Lilly, Mars, Novartis, Patria, Pepsico, Sanofi, Santander, Schneider Electric, Siemens Energy, Stone, Syngenta Seeds, and XP Inc. The organizations contributed with particular guidance formats and could understand the ambitions and interests of the Insper public.
Student and alumni interaction with the market offers an overview of trends, besides a vision of how to land challenging professional opportunities. “The Career Center values ensuring an excellent professional path for students and alumni. So, we are concerned with assessing market trends and providing that networking. Also, the job market shows us it is pleased to work with our students and alumni because our education has strong academic rigor. It focuses on critical thinking, business vision, analytical knowledge, communications, and teamwork,” Fouad comments.
