Access here an interview with architects Alejandro Echeverri and Carlos Mario Rodríguez, two of the leading figures behind the advent of Social Urbanism in Medellín

The Insper Arq.Futuro Cities Lab releases an interview with Colombian architects Alejandro Echeverri and Carlos Mario Rodríguez. They are leading names in Social Urbanism — an intervention strategy that has changed the face of the formerly very violent Medellín.
In the conversation, Echeverri and Rodríguez address the concept of Social Urbanism, talk about the experience in Medellín, and argue that it is necessary to invest in the design of public policies centered on a collaborative process with the participation of the community to face up to the “raw reality” of discontinuing programs.
