A partnership with the Emeritus Institute of Management offers remote courses that can be taken without students and professors being connected to classes in real-time
This March, Insper starts a new educational partnership with Emeritus Institute of Management. It is an online educational platform that promotes partnerships with some of the world’s best universities, boosting the voices of global leaders and accelerating the transformation of their careers.
Through the partnership, asynchronous Executive Education courses were created. They are provided via a digital, interactive, and dynamic learning platform. The new offer allows executives to develop their learning according to their preferred time, schedule, and place.
With an innovative approach developed together with Insper, the new courses offer simulations, real-world case studies, and tutoring. Also, there are other educational experiences for assertive training, one that enables learning to be applied.
Prof. Rodrigo Amantea, Insper’s Academic Coordinator of Executive Education, celebrates the new partnership. It meets a growing demand from executives for courses that can be taken at different paces. “Insper is the first educational institution in Brazil to offer courses with the Emeritus label, which is a great honor for us. This online portfolio was specially designed to allow access to courses without time and place restrictions. It makes the course accessible to entrepreneurs and executives throughout Brazil at any time. All that while maintaining educational excellence.”
“This is Insper’s first experience with courses in this model, and we have high expectations. Offering our programs in the asynchronous format allows us to expand access to the education of excellence our school offers,” adds Paola Di Carla, Supervisor of Executive Education.
How the course works
Unlike what happens today in Insper’s Live Learning — a model in which students have online and live class sessions —, the partnership with Emeritus brings in courses in which attendees have access to several educational contents anytime, anywhere.
“One of the model’s advantages is that students have access to quality content at any time of the day or night. Also, they can attend [class sessions] as many times as they want. That helps the learning process and ensures greater autonomy to students in the decision-making about their daily study needs,” explains Juliana Massi, Coordinator of Insper’s Teaching and Learning Center. She had followed the formulation of the new format.
The Emeritus platform will have video lessons recorded with Insper professors, besides practical exercises with interactive content and features, such as motion graphics or digital animations. Besides the recorded class sessions held by our professors, attendees will be able to contact class tutors. They had been trained to shape student experience and guide their learning journey. They work as the main contact point with students, who will be able to ask questions live.
In the class sessions provided, students work from practical case studies. It is necessary to carry out a project or deliver activities throughout the course to obtain the completion certificate. Within the platform, it is also possible to discuss with other students and debate the concepts presented through the videos.
What’s next
The Strategy and Digital Transformation course will be the first experience offered within this new educational partnership. It will last 5 weeks, with a weekly workload between 5 and 6 hours.
Its program addresses ways to develop and implement strategies for your company’s growth, profits, and long-term success across the age of information. The course combines digital transformation cases and the tools needed to solve the problems involved in this challenging scenario.
