The partnership with one of Brazil’s most traditional law firms offers scholarships, mentoring, and internship opportunities for Insper’s Law students
Excellent news for our Law students: An agreement between Insper and Pinheiro Neto Advogados, one of the most traditional Brazilian law firms, will provide academic support to our students. It will offer professional mentoring opportunities — initially conducted by the firm’s managing partner Alexandre Bertoldi himself — and internship programs. When the pandemic allows for it, Pinheiro Neto is also willing to welcome all our undergraduate students in a visit to the firm, where almost 500 lawyers work. Also, the firm will support our Scholarship Program, paying for the studies of two undergrads during the entire program in Law.
Our school’s partnership with Pinheiro Neto is part of Insper’s efforts to offer the best learning and professionalization opportunities for its students, providing hands-on contact experiences with the job market. The goal is to educate lawyers capable of mediating dialogues and combining skills and knowledge to compose and lead multidisciplinary teams.
For the coordinator of our Undergraduate Program in Law, Prof. Rafael Bellem de Lima, it is a great pleasure to partner with such a relevant law firm as Pinheiro Neto since the program‘s beginnings. “Academic initiatives in partnership with public and private organizations, like vacation internships and professional mentoring, are essential to our ambition of developing professionals geared to solving complex legal problems in different fields of practice,“ says Rafael. “Also, having Alexandre Bertoldi in our group of mentors is a special reason for joy. Our students will be able to interact with a renowned professional who, besides having solid technical credentials and a respected track record in corporate law, is a reference point in people and business management.”
“We are very pleased with this beginning of a partnership and sure that this is just the starting point of a long relationship between the two institutions,” says Alexandre Bertoldi, managing partner and member of the Pinheiro Neto Advogados Steering Committee.
The Insper Scholarship Program makes it possible for talented young people to have access to our Undergraduate Program in Law, regardless of their financial condition. Thanks to the scholarship program, we are already hosting 14 talented and extremely motivated scholarship holders in this first Law School class. “We are very proud of this program and the various initiatives that the school takes to promote diversity in its student body,” emphasizes Rafael.
