The rise of Big Data and super computing power, that has enabled the ever-growing
importance of the Artificial Intelligence (AI), is changing the business landscape. This
course is not about developing algorithms, but helping students understand some AI
subfields, such as Natural Language Processing, Visual Computing, Autonomous
Systems and Hyper Personalization. These can complement and expand the interaction
between humans and machines, improving the decision-making processes.
The program aims to give an overview of different fields to which Artificial Intelligence can
be applied such as Law, Healthcare, Insurance, Retail, Startups, Finance, etc. But the
main focus of these applications will be to understand the practical implications of AI for
businesses decision-making in different contexts and circumstances.
Some specialists from Brazil and Germany will be invited to talk about their fields of
expertise, such as: self-driving cars, blockchain and AI applications

Is a specialist in wicked (complex) problem solving and leadership. He is the founder at Stuber Mentoring and, since 2010, has helped organisations from different sectors generate value. Previously he worked for over 29 years as a senior executive in the areas of R&D (research and development), Marketing, Sales, Strategic Planning and Innovation at Freudenberg and Stihl, two multinational companies in the automotive parts industry and machinery sector respectively. At present he is also a researcher on decision making processes using Artificial Intelligence and is a professor at INSPER, FIA/USP, USP/ESALQ and PUCRS.
