He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) and a Graduate Certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (GCLOG) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He was a visiting researcher at the MIT Sloan School of Management during his Ph.D. He holds an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Production Engineering from the Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFScar).
Assistant Professor at Insper and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Strathclyde (United Kingdom), member of the Board of The Good Food Institute, and affiliated researcher of the Food and Retail Operations Lab (FaROL) at MIT.
His applied research focuses on the environmental and social impacts of supply chains, which he views as complex, crucial yet vulnerable systems for sustainable development.
He founded two award-winning startups in Brazil and a sustainability consultancy in Denmark, which allowed him to implement cutting-edge research in practice.
