Bachelor in Business Administration and M.Sc. in Marketing from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Ph.D. in Strategic Administration from PUCRS, with a visiting scholar position at Vanderbilt University through the Federal Government's CAPES Print program. Member of the Association for Consumer Research. Her research employs theories and methods from social and cognitive psychology, marketing, and economics to understand and propose solutions to relevant and current problems in Consumer Behavior and aims to help consumers make better economic and social decisions. She has publications in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and the Journal of Business Administration. She frequently works on research projects funded by the Ministry of Education and state governments. Maura has also worked in consulting and research for startups and entrepreneurs and as a project manager at Uol EdTech.
