Ph.D. in State Law from the University of São Paulo (USP) and M.Sc. in Public Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro.

Before joining the Insper faculty, he was a full professor at the Federal Center for Technology in Rio de Janeiro (Cefet-RJ) from 2015 to 2022, and also a collaborating professor in the graduate program at the School of Legislation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (ELERJ).

He is an associate researcher of the constitution, politics, and institutions research group at the School of Law at USP and a member of the Judiciary and Democracy research group at the Department of Political Science at USP.
