He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Economics from the National Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA).
At Insper, he is an Associate Professor and Academic Coordinator for the area of Teaching and Learning Development (DEA). As a researcher, he develops work in decision theory, also working on general equilibrium under uncertainty and finance.
