Program Director of the Computer Science Program, Fabio de Miranda is an electrical engineer with an emphasis in Computing and holds an M.Sc. in Electronic Systems from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP). He is currently collaborating on the development of new Engineering programs at Insper.

He conducts applied research and has produced system prototypes in the areas of Augmented Reality, Computer Graphics, and Computer Vision. He provides consultancy on the specification and development of graphic systems or those with non-trivial requirements for institutions and market companies, including Embraer, CTI, and Cenpes-Petrobras.

He has been teaching undergraduate and graduate programs in the field of information technology since 2001. He has supervised scientific initiation projects and final projects, and developed and coordinated a Computer Engineering program. He has experience in project-oriented courses that use resources such as simulators, mobile devices, physical computing, and educational robotics.
