Associate Professor at Insper, he worked on the development of engineering programs. He holds an undergraduate program and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Poli-USP) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary, in Canada.

He was a postdoctoral fellow in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary, an associate researcher at the National Research Council of Canada, a software engineer at Opal-RT Technologies, also in Canada, and at Google.

His areas of interest are computer vision, machine learning, image processing, information retrieval, high-performance computing.
