Doctor in Business Administration (Finance track) from FGV, visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, MBA in Finance from the University of California (UCLA), and Engineer from the Polytechnic School of USP.

Professor of Finance and Economics at Insper since August 2005. Serves as the leader of the finance track (NDE) of the undergraduate programs in Business Administration and Economics. Teaches in the school's undergraduate programs with full-time dedication.

Has conducted research in the area of corporate finance and trade credit. Has published in the Journal of Corporate Finance (5-Year Impact Factor: 2.569), the Economics and Finance Review, and participated in various national and international finance meetings (EBFIN, FMA).

Serves as a referee for the Journal of Corporate Finance and as a reviewer for EnANPAD in the Finance track. Worked for over 30 years in the field of entrepreneurship in financial software and consulting for banks, brokerages, and insurance companies.
