She began her role as a consultant and business analyst at Deloitte. Just one month later, the country began to experience the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and implemented sanitary care measures. Adapting became more challenging—but still possible.   "I always wanted to live abroad, and Europe was more attractive. I was in the Netherlands and called Deloitte's recruiter to introduce myself. I sent my resume, and the team decided that I was the right fit for what they needed."   Since then, she has continued living in the country and is well adapted to cultural differences.   "In daily life, personal closeness is less, it's important to understand this difference. On the other hand, it's a country that tends to welcome immigrants, and the fact that most people speak English helps a lot," she says.   Today, Bruna is an engagement manager at Rewire, a company specializing in strategy and implementation consulting for data and artificial intelligence (AI) in businesses. "Consulting was a great entry point into the job market—it allowed me to apply my knowledge and gain a worldview of companies and businesses. It’s the kind of experience that will give me the foundation I need for the day I decide to start my own company," says Bruna, who was part of Insper’s very first Mechatronics Engineering cohort — Insper’s engineering programs will celebrate 10 years in 2025. “Insper was decisive in helping me stand out as a differentiated professional in the market”, she says, who is now 28 years old.   Zoo Visit   Bruna discovered Insper in the final year of high school, during a presentation at her school, Móbile, which is known for fostering autonomy, independence, flexibility, and teamwork in its students.   "I didn't know what I wanted to do. I was thinking about studying Engineering, but I wasn't sure if I would connect with the more traditional approach of Brazil’s top engineering schools. When I learned about Insper, I fell in love. It was exactly what I wanted: experiential learning, which anchors knowledge more deeply and enriches students both personally and professionally,” she says.   Still, she knew the program was just beginning to be structured, which caused some uncertainty. "My mom is the one who eliminated any doubts I had," she recalls. “My mom is the one who eliminated any doubts I had,” she recalls. “She had done a postgraduate program at Insper and told me, ‘You can trust them — they would never do anything that wasn’t top-notch.’”   The learning journey surprised her. "While students at traditional colleges spend the freshman year staying up all night to learn advanced mathematics, Insper stimulated experience and understanding of how we would apply what we were learning, to the point of going to the zoo to later develop projects simulating the animals' movements. I quickly realized I was being educated to expand my worldview, with a focus on practical actions and solving real problems. It was the approach that impacted me the most, and that I carry with me in my professional life."    Applied Technology   During her undergraduate studies, Bruna spent a month at IÉSEG School of Management in France in 2017. Between February and July 2018, she did an exchange program at Tel Aviv University in Israel, focusing on MBA-related subjects. She also completed a summer internship at MetLife and interned at energy company Raízen. All experiences converged toward the same path: using data and automation to solve major business problems. Today, AI is the primary tool to achieve those goals.   "I worked with robotics in college. My education in Mechatronics allows me to communicate with tech areas, but Insper guided me to control the impulse to focus only on the tools, without adding value to businesses. I realized that a profile like this is highly sought after in the market, including here in the Netherlands," she recounts.   Bruna credits this performance to the school's profile. "Thanks to Insper's encouragement and the educational model the school offers, I found my place professionally and had one of the most satisfying academic experiences," she says.   "By acting at the beginning of the program, we were encouraged to engage with professors, provide feedback, help with activities for subsequent classes, seek companies for partnerships, and develop projects — my final project, for instance, was conducted for Embraer. Insper was fundamental in my journey."  "}]
