The Business Administration and Economics programs at Insper have had their international EQUIS accreditation renewed for another three years, reaffirming the school's commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement. Granted by EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), the seal is considered one of the most rigorous quality standards for business schools.

The accreditation recognizes the high quality of undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs in the areas of business administration and economics, focusing on aspects such as internationalization, social responsibility, and integration with the labor market. The process of granting the seal includes a meticulous evaluation, which involved visits to the institution in February and the participation of over 170 members of the Insper community.

After obtaining the recognition, the schools commit to pursuing a continuous improvement development plan. This is the second time Insper has undergone the renewal of the EQUIS accreditation, initially granted to the school in 2017 and first renewed in 2021.

“In this renewal, the evaluation committee recognized our ability to concretely respond to the improvement points previously identified, such as recent efforts in implementing a new governance of the Academic Units, as well as in formulating more consistent strategies for research and internationalization,” explains Guilherme Martins, President of Insper. “We continue with the commitment to always evolve, training leaders prepared to transform Brazil and the world,” he adds.

The seal equates Insper to internationally recognized business schools, such as London Business School in England, Toulouse Business School in France, and ESMT Berlin in Germany — which also make up the list of institutions with the accreditation — corroborating with the school's vision as a global reference in education and in knowledge production about Brazil.

With this achievement, Insper maintains its position in a select group of business schools worldwide that hold the so-called Triple Crown — simultaneous certification by the three main global accreditors: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. Currently, only 139 business schools worldwide (about 1%) hold this distinction.

"The EQUIS seal, besides globally attesting the excellence of our education and reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement, strengthens Insper's positioning in the international landscape. The accreditation broadens the possibilities of scientific and academic cooperation with renowned institutions around the world and, as a result, opens new doors for our students to have international experiences — a fundamental aspect of our educational strategy,” says Rogerio Paes Costa, Associate Director of Internationalization and Accreditation at Insper.
