On Monday, the 15th, around 40 Aspire alumni met to exchange experiences, strengthen ties, and expand connections with people from different countries.   The School, held with the support of FAPESP, attracted strong international interest. In total, 870 applications were received from undergraduate and graduate students, of which 100 were selected. Ultimately, 83 participants attended, representing 22 nationalities—40 international students and 43 Brazilians. Among those selected, 52 were Aspire alumni, highlighting the relevance of the network formed by the program and its strong connection with the School’s academic proposal.   This significant participation of alumni inspired the organization of a gathering promoted by Aspire, with the aim of strengthening interaction among alumni in a multicultural environment. The program included interactive dynamics, networking activities, and a tasting of traditional Brazilian foods.   “It is inspiring to see the engagement of so many young people from the Aspire Leaders Program at the São Paulo School of Science, creating projects focused on the main sustainability challenges across multiple contexts. The program and the School share fundamental values related to promoting social impact, both locally and globally, and aim to develop agents of transformation,” says Aline Lilian dos Santos , Director of the Aspire Institute in Brazil and coordinator of the program at Insper. “The event represented a unique opportunity to bring together the program’s global network, with young Aspire leaders from more than 12 countries who were able to connect and exchange experiences and knowledge.”   The opening of the gathering was led by Professor Sérgio Lazzarini, Academic Vice President of Insper, professor in the Aspire Leadership Program, and chair of the São Paulo School of Advanced Science. “I have long collaborated with and taught in the Aspire program, which has created an impressive network of students in various countries—people who are extremely motivated to learn, grow, and contribute to society,” he said.   According to Lazzarini, promoting the School within the Aspire network had a direct impact on the participant profile. “When we conceived the School and opened the call for students, we shared it with the Aspire network, and we quickly received a high number of interested candidates. Several of the selected international students came from the Aspire network and proved to be highly engaged in the program’s discussions and debates.”   One of these participants was Teniola Oladunni, from Nigeria. An alumna of the 2023 Aspire cohort, she highlighted the role of the program in her journey. “I applied and was selected to come here. I am the only representative from my country,” she said. “Aspire really helped me in many ways. It helped me meet other people and interact with people from different parts of the world. I also learned many things. I am very grateful for this opportunity.”   Insper professor Graziela Tonin, co-chair of the School, also took part in the gathering and shared reflections on how technology can support social impact initiatives and contribute to innovative solutions to complex sustainability-related challenges.   Over the course of 10 days, the School provided an intensive academic immersion, bringing together students and researchers from different fields. The program explored, at an advanced level, key themes for sustainable transformation, such as theory of change, regenerative organizations, cross-sector collaboration, transformative services marketing, transversality and intersectionality, transformative operations and supply chains, venture capital, technology and sustainability, and adaptive leadership. The proposal was to integrate multiple perspectives and forms of knowledge, fostering critical reflection and contributing to the advancement of global and local sustainability agendas.   Global Leadership Development   Founded by Harvard Business School professors Tarun Khanna and Karim Lakhani and managed by the nonprofit organization Aspire Institute, Aspire Leaders is a program focused on developing the leadership of low-income or first-generation university students and recent graduates. The program offers a free, online, and interactive journey that combines personal development, professional training, and learning within a global network of peers and mentors.   In Brazil—the first country in Latin America to join Aspire—the program is based at Insper. The initiative aligns with Insper’s mission to educate highly qualified professionals and leaders capable of promoting positive transformation in the country. Over the course, which lasts approximately two and a half months, participants go through personal and professional development modules, with content on leadership, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and community engagement, as well as masterclasses delivered by internationally renowned educators.   “By gaining access to Aspire, young people from different backgrounds develop leadership skills that enable them to be better prepared for the job market and to access better professional opportunities in Brazil and abroad. It is a transformative program that reinforces the mission of Insper and the Aspire Institute to democratize internationalization, quality education, and their commitment to diversity and inclusion,” says Aline.   For Brazilian participant Letícia Rodrigues, from Curitiba, who attended the gathering on Monday, the Aspire experience was decisive. “Aspire was, for me, an opportunity for connection, transformation, leadership over myself and over how I can influence and transform an environment, people, and bring opportunities,” she said. “It is a place full of opportunities to change our lives.”   To learn more about the Aspire Leaders Program, visit: [www.aspireleaders.org](http://www.aspireleaders.org) or follow @aspireleadersbrasil / Aspire Leaders Program Brasil on social media."},{"relevanceText":"Relevância","noResultsFoundText":"Nenhum resultado encontrado","noFilterAvailableText":"Não há filtros disponíveis para os resultados","filterText":"Filtros","sortActionText":"Ordenar","alphabeticalOrderText":"Ordem alfabética","cleanText":"Limpar","navigateThroughResultsText":"NAVEGUE PELOS AGRUPAMENTOS DE RESULTADOS","previousText":"Anterior","teachersTabText":"Corpo docente","ofText":"de","allText":"Todos","searchText":"Pesquisar","noResponseText":"Faça uma busca em todo o Portal Insper.","resultsText":"resultado","noPictureText":"Sem foto","nextEventsText":"Próximos eventos","applyFilterText":"Aplicar filtros","newsTabText":"Notícias","tab":"templateName:cursos","tags_0":"temas:administra--o-e-neg-cios","courseTabText":"Cursos","searchAllText":"Faça uma busca em todo o Portal Insper.","allDatesText":"Todas as datas","eventsTabText":"Eventos","loadMoreText":"Carregar mais","didYouMeanText":"Você quis dizer:","filterActionText":"Filtrar","nextText":"Próximo","seeAllText":"Ver tudo","dateText":"Data","clearFilterText":"Limpar filtros","institutionalTabText":"Institucional","searchResultsText":"Cursos de Administração e Economia"}]
