Business environments are becoming more volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous – VUCA. At the same time, information is flowing more freely or at very low cost globally, challenging business models and the relationship among stakeholders. Organizations are in the quest for strategic resilience in their future value creation and traditional strategic management tools might not apply.

The program strategies under uncertainty provides hands-on experience to build and use scenarios. Scenarios are possible futures – not projections or sensitivity analysis – and scenario planning incorporates flexibility in strategic management.

You will experiment resilience, by choosing strategies that perform well in all scenarios or through “sensing and strategic adaptation”.

  • Understand VUCA world and its implications to strategic management;
  • Recognize forces and uncertainties that drives the business environment and its future perspectives to build scenarios or possible futures;
  • Take strategic decisions that drive organization results consistent with its objectives and sustainable over time.
  • Combine long term thinking with rapid reaction to improve organization resilience through flexible strategy execution and anticipated alert systems;
  • Senior executives and policy makers who want to lead their organizations to develop forward looking skills;
  • Executives from private, public and not-for-profit organizations, who have decision-making responsibilities at senior levels;

Classes will be conducted in English. Advanced reading and understanding English is required. Knowledge of competitive strategic concepts.
