The purpose of the EAC is to bring the School and related parties closer together, seeking to promote critical monitoring of its insertion in the scenario of action in education and research in the disciplines of business management and economy. This approach process has two specific goals:

He is involved in a real estate venture in New York and has been a non-executive partner and advisor to one of the largest family offices in Latin America.
He is a member of the board of Artha Educação Ltda in Brazil, the Cornell University Parents Committee, and the Management Committee of the Educational Fund of the Centro de Estudos e Sistemas Avançados do Recife. In 2007, he co-founded SEAGUL Capital LP, which provided investment consulting to a multibillion-dollar U.S. hedge fund.
He executed a tail risk hedge for a family office and advised the SEAGUL Latin American Equity Fund. From 2002 to 2007, he was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the investment committee of 2100 Larch Lane and its predecessor Larch Lane Advisors, an investment advisory firm for hedge funds and hedge fund incubators.
He is the co-founder of LOG International/LOGIC, which provided investment management consulting in emerging markets for multibillion-dollar U.S. hedge funds and followed the same strategies on behalf of the Logic Emerging Markets Fund from 1993 to 2002.

Executive Superintendent of the Instituto Unibanco, he has served as Secretary of Continuing Education, Literacy, and Diversity (SECAD) of the Ministry of Education and Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, where he coordinated the design and initial implementation of the Programa Bolsa Família. At the federal level, he also served as Special Advisor to the President of the Banco Nacional do Desenvolvimento (BNDES) and as a researcher at the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (IPEA).
