Ana Carla Abrão Costa

 

Holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV/RJ) and a PhD in the same field from the University of São Paulo (FEA/USP). With extensive academic production in the fields of credit and banking spreads, she was a civil servant at the Central Bank of Brazil, chief economist at the consulting firm Tendências Consultoria and risk director at Banco Itaú, where she worked until 2014.

 

From January 2015 to January 2017, she headed the Treasury Department of the State of Goiás. She currently chairs the Fiscal Management Board of the City of São Paulo.

Claudio Schvartsman

 

Graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (USP), where he completed residencies in pediatrics and pediatric emergency. He holds an M.Sc. and a Doctoral Program in Medicine (Pediatrics) from USP (1990) and has a livre-docência from the same institution.

 

Pediatrician at the Albert Einstein Hospital, Vice President of the Board of its supporting society, and President of the Israeli Faculty of Health Sciences. He is also a physician at the Children's Institute of the Hospital das Clínicas of the USP Medical School, where he is the head of the emergency department.

 

He has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Pediatrics, primarily focusing on the following topics: pediatrics, pediatric emergency, and medical education. He has more than 50 publications in scientific journals.

 

Daniel Traça

 

Graduated in Economics from the Nova University of Lisbon and holds a Doctoral Program from Columbia University, in New York.

 

Full professor of Economics at the Nova University of Lisbon (Nova SBE). He is also a visiting professor at the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD) in France and Singapore.

David Vélez is a founding partner, President of the Board of Management, and CEO of Nubank. He has also been a member of the Stakeholder Committee since July 2021. Before the founding of Nubank in 2013, David was a partner at Sequoia Capital from January 2011 to March 2013, responsible for the company's Latin American investor group. His career prior to Sequoia includes stints in investment and growth equity areas at financial institutions Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and General Atlantic.

In the public sector, he was the general coordinator of monetary and financial policy at the Ministry of Finance and a director of the Central Bank of Brazil during the administrations of Itamar Franco and Fernando Henrique Cardoso.

Denis Mizme

 

Lawyer graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP) and current Executive Director of the Lemann Foundation, he is known for his work leading third sector institutions.

 

He was a visiting scholar at Columbia University and a Yale World Fellow at Yale University. He founded and chairs the Board of Sou da Paz Institute, a board member of Instituto Natura and Nova Escola Association, and a member of Yale’s President Council on International Activities. She has published more than forty works, including articles, books, and book chapters on those same topics. Eunice Prudente

 

Graduated in Law, with an M.Sc. and a doctoral degree from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP).

 

She is the Municipal Secretary of Justice for the City of São Paulo, also serving on the Human Rights Commission of USP, and a senior professor in the State Law Department of the Law School at USP, where she teaches undergraduate courses and participates in the M.Sc. and Doctoral Programs in the fields of State Law and Human Rights.

Miguel Lago

Nizan Guanaes

 

CEO of N Ideias, he is a communication strategist for Brazil's major brands, a Global UNESCO ambassador, and one of the 5 most influential Brazilians in the world, according to the Financial Times.

 

He revolutionized Brazilian advertising with DM9 in the 1990s. In the 2000s, with Africa, he redesigned the advertising agency model. And he built the first major advertising and marketing holding in the country, placing the ABC Group among the world's top 20.

 

The sale of DM9, announced by the New York Times, and the deal of the ABC Group with Omnicom were the two largest transactions in the Brazilian advertising market, also establishing Nizan as an entrepreneur.

 

He received the highest national accolade, the Order of Rio Branco, for services rendered to the country in the business and social areas.

 

A marathon runner and triathlete, now at kilometer 64 of his life, Nizan Guanaes has returned to study at Harvard, strongly supports Brazilian social entrepreneurship, and invests in startups.

 

Patricia Palomo

 

Asset manager graduated in Economics and Executive MBA in Finance from Insper, has been working in the financial market since 2004. Her experience includes positions in investment consulting, commercial banking, and investment banking.

He was President of Oxiteno (1992-2006) and President of Ultrapar Participações (2007-2012). He is President of the Board of Innovation and Competitiveness of Fiesp. He coordinates the Business Mobilization for Innovation at CNI.

 

He is a member of the Board of Embrapii, the Board of Iedi, the Board of FNDCT, the Board of USP, the Board of the Innovation Agency at USP, and the Board of the National Association of Research and Development of Innovative Companies (Anpei). Rachel Maia

(Brazil) and began her career as a senior financial controller at 7-Eleven, where she developed her analytical and leadership skills as a junior manager. Rachel then served as a senior business controller at Novartis Pharmacy.

 

Raul Guimarães

 

Bachelor in Economics and Finance from the Faculdade de Ciências Políticas e Econômicas do Rio de Janeiro, he has extensive experience in a wide variety of markets and asset classes. In his role as a portfolio manager, he implemented strategies in equities, fixed income, currency, and derivative instruments in emerging markets, navigating periods of extreme volatility successfully.

 

He possesses comprehensive expertise in the universe of alternative investments, participating in all aspects of hedge funds and seed capital processes. He is involved in operational aspects related to hedge fund management, including accounting, documentation, vehicle structuring, investor marketing, and compliance supervision.

 

He is involved in a real estate venture in New York and has been a non-executive partner and advisor to one of the largest family offices in Latin America.

 

He is a member of the board of Artha Educação Ltda in Brazil, the Cornell University Parents Committee, and the Management Committee of the Educational Fund of the Centro de Estudos e Sistemas Avançados do Recife. In 2007, he co-founded SEAGUL Capital LP, which provided investment consulting to a multibillion-dollar U.S. hedge fund.

 

He executed a tail risk hedge for a family office and advised the SEAGUL Latin American Equity Fund. From 2002 to 2007, he was Chief Financial Officer and a member of the investment committee of 2100 Larch Lane and its predecessor Larch Lane Advisors, an investment advisory firm for hedge funds and hedge fund incubators.

 

He is the co-founder of LOG International/LOGIC, which provided investment management consulting in emerging markets for multibillion-dollar U.S. hedge funds and followed the same strategies on behalf of the Logic Emerging Markets Fund from 1993 to 2002.

 

From 1988 to 1993, he was vice president at Bankers Trust in Corporate Finance/Emerging Markets in New York and Brazil. He participated in the Management Development Program at the Bank of Montreal in Canada for 2 years.

Renata Rizzi

 

Graduated in Engineering, with an M.Sc. and Doctoral Program in Economics from the University of São Paulo.

She worked at Citibank and Morgan Stanley and, academically, developed research in the field of political economy. She is the co-founder of Nexo Jornal and is currently the CEO of the company.

 

Ricardo Gandour

 

Senior executive and researcher with a background in Engineering, Journalism, Business Administration, and Technology, Gandour has extensive experience in editorial management and positioning strategy in communication, products, and brands, including a focus on the ESG agenda.

 

He directed major newsrooms such as O Estado de S. Paulo and Rede CBN de Rádios. He served on the Editorial Board of Grupo Globo. At Folha, he rose from reporter and editor to founding director of Publifolha. He has won the Folha Journalism Award twice.

 

He holds a M.Sc. in Communication Sciences (USP), is an engineer from USP-São Carlos, and a journalist from Cásper Líbero-SP, with specializations in Advanced Management (FDC-Insead), Publishing (Stanford Alumni), and Business Administration (FGV-SP). He was a visiting scholar at the Columbia Journalism School (2016-2017). Gandour is a professor of Journalism at ESPM-SP, a member of the Editorial Board of Grupo RBS, and serves on the advisory boards of the Columbia Global Center Brazil, Instituto Palavra Aberta, and Instituto TornaVoz.

 

He is the founding director of RGandour Estratégia e Comunicação, with projects related to the climate agenda, public health and social mobility policies, and forest restoration, among other topics. Among articles and lectures, he is the author of “Journalism in Retraction, Power in Expansion – The second death of public opinion” (Summus, 2020).

 

Ricardo Henriques

 

Executive Superintendent of the Instituto Unibanco, he has served as Secretary of Continuing Education, Literacy, and Diversity (SECAD) of the Ministry of Education and Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, where he coordinated the design and initial implementation of the Programa Bolsa Família. At the federal level, he also served as Special Advisor to the President of the Banco Nacional do Desenvolvimento (BNDES) and as a researcher at the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (IPEA).

 

In Rio de Janeiro, he was the State Secretary of Social Assistance and Human Rights and President of the Instituto Municipal de Urbanismo Pereira Passos, where he developed the UPP Social Program. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Todos pela Educação, Amnesty International, GIFE, Fundação Maria Cecília Souto Vidigal, Instituto Sou da Paz, and Instituto Natura.

He is an extraordinary professor at Cesar.school, Emeritus Professor at the Center for Informatics of UFPE, RECIFE. He is one of the founders of the Digital Strategy Company and PORTO DIGITAL, where he chairs the Board of Administration. Member of the Boards of CI&T, MAGALU, MRV, BBCE, TEMPEST, and member of the innovation committees of AREZZO and YPÊ.
