Full Professor and coordinator of the Center for Regulation and Democracy (CRD). Full-time professor in the undergraduate programs, M.Sc., and Doctoral Program at Insper. Graduated in Public Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), holds a Master's and Ph.D. in Economics from the School of Economics and Business Administration at the University of São Paulo (FEA-USP). He was a Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2012 and a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1994.
He was a professor at the São Paulo School of Economics of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EESP FGV) as well as at the University of São Paulo (USP) and the Federal University of São Carlos (UFScar). He is also the author of several articles and book chapters on topics such as competition defense, regulation, business strategies, market and firm organization, and law and economics. Due to his scientific production, he is a CNPq Productivity Fellow and has also been a reviewer and member of the editorial boards of various scientific publications.
He has coordinated thematic projects with the São Paulo Research Foundation (Fapesp) in the area of market institutions, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in the area of development policies, and with the Center for Studies of Economic and Social Law (CEDES), the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), and the National Council of Justice (CNJ) in the area of Empirical Legal Studies.
