He was a professor at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC), from 1996 to 2001, and at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University, from 2002 to 2004. He has been a professor at Insper since 2002, where he has created, co-created, and taught courses in calculus, operational research, and dynamic processes in Business Administration and Economics, and in modeling and simulation, nature of design, mathematics of variation, multivariate mathematics, and physics of movement in Engineering. He was one of the founding professors of engineering at Insper. His research focuses on complex networks applied to national and international financial markets, having published articles in the area.
