Gino Olivares

Fellow Professor | Ph.D. in Economics - PUC/RJ

Ph.D. in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) since 2000. Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with Mention in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, in 1992.

He was an Economist at the Economic Studies Management at the Central Reserve Bank of Peru from March 1993 to December 1994. He held the position of Chief Economist in various institutions in the financial market, including Opportunity, Brookfield, Vinci Partners, SAGMO Capital, Galápagos Capital, and Azimut Brazil Wealth Management. He was a Fellow Professor on a part-time basis in the Department of Economics at PUC-Rio between 1997 and 2014.

He has been teaching at Insper since August 2014 for the Undergraduate program in Business Administration and Economics in courses on the Macroeconomics track. He is also a professor of Macroeconomics and International Finance for the Professional Master's Program in Economics at the school. He has been an Associate Professor since January 2015.
