Located on Insper’s campus in Vila Olímpia, the space covers more than 1,000m² and was designed to bring together clients, partners, startups, academia, and companies, with the goal of driving business innovation through artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies. For Insper’s president, Guilherme Martins , the initiative reinforces the school’s mission to engage its community in solutions to complex challenges: “This center with TCS creates opportunities for our community to innovate, solve complex problems, and help deliver positive outcomes for Brazil and Latin America,” he stated. Housed in the Quatá 67 building, the new space strengthens Insper’s vision of offering a vibrant urban campus with excellence in teaching and research, aligned with society’s demands, and benefits from the expertise of TCS, a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions. Rodrigo Amantea, Head of the Paulo Cunha Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub at Insper, highlighted the impact of the collaboration: “The inauguration of the new space on the Insper campus, along with the collaboration with TCS, reinforces our school’s mission to drive Brazil’s transformation through innovation. This partnership will not only enhance our capacity to develop cutting-edge engineering and computer science projects addressing real business challenges but also expand the learning opportunities and experiences we offer to our students.” The initiative connects Insper to a global innovation network linking TCS with academic institutions like Cornell, Imperial College, and MIT. The new center is designed to provide customized co-innovation experiences based on TCS Pace™ methodologies and in labs specializing in AI, cybersecurity, robotics, and prototyping. “Our partnership with Insper is a fantastic launchpad to leverage the academic and industrial ecosystem within Brazil. The innovation center reinforces our role as a strategic partner for industries, accelerating their transformation journey and promoting sustainable, business, social, and economic growth in the region,” said Dr. Harrick Vin, CTO of TCS. The space will feature teams specializing in AI, design, and development, as well as access to TCS’s global research ecosystem, working in areas such as quantum computing, robotics, space technology, and sustainability. Bruno Rocha, Country Head of TCS Brasil, emphasized the company’s purpose in translating innovation into practical results: “The TCS AI-Powered Research & Innovation Center supports our clear purpose of translating cutting-edge technology into tangible business results. We want to dive into our clients’ challenges to deliver prototypes and functional solutions, reinforcing confidence that they are ahead of the curve,” he said. The inauguration of the TCS AI-Powered Research & Innovation Center is part of a partnership established in 2024 between Insper and TCS, which includes an investment of R$ 50 million in expanding innovation initiatives in Brazil over the next 10 years, through collaborative actions in academic research and innovation."}]
