At the closing ceremony of the Effective Problem Resolution (REP) program, held on December 12, Insper's 6th-semester Business Administration students presented innovative solutions to real challenges proposed by 21 partner companies. During the event, the best projects were recognized, and Green Belt Plan and Yellow Belt Plan certifications were awarded by Falconi Performance Consultants. With 29 projects completed in this edition, REP continues to be a reference in developing critical skills for the job market.

In the event's opening, Professor Ana Diniz, Program Director of the Business Administration program, highlighted the program's importance in the students' education. "Throughout the fifth and sixth semesters, some applied projects are carried out, and REP is one of those moments where the application meets the classroom. Organizations bring real problems for students to propose solutions based on a specific problem-solving analysis and proposal methodology," she said.

Besides being an academic exercise, REP is an experience that uniquely connects theory and practice, essential in the process of inserting students into the job market. "More than 95% of students are already working by the end of the program. But what about the remaining 5%? Often, they are students pursuing a double degree, who are interested in following a more academic path, or who have expectations of an exchange program, and that's why they aren't working yet," said Ana.

Carolina Fouad, Innovation Project Manager at the Paulo Cunha Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub, emphasized the role of companies and mentors in the initiative's success. "Our partners and mentors are crucial in providing students with a rich learning environment. They are individuals connected to Insper who practically donate their time and experience to help these students design the best project to be delivered to the company throughout the semester, also contributing to each student's personal and professional development," said Carolina. This edition featured 29 mentors, experienced professionals who guided the groups during the project development for 21 partner companies.

Among the event's highlights, the group that developed a solution for the developer Tegra received the best project award. Led by mentor Fabiane Almeida from D&A Management and Training Consultancy, the students created solutions to optimize customer relationship channels, bringing assertiveness to the company's processes. "The challenge we received was about the uncertainties of optimizing results from labor and civil legal processes. We conducted research with focus groups from outsourced offices and Tegra groups, and from these results, we performed a statistical test of relative importance that helped us create a financial calculator to achieve an optimal result according to the specifics of each process," said Guilherme Scalzo, one of the group members.

Since the program began in 2011, 200 mentors, 203 companies, and 3,331 students have participated in REP, developing 685 innovative projects for partner institutions.

Green and Yellow Belt Plan Certification

During the event, the five projects most highly evaluated by the panel of faculty and mentors of REP were honored. Additionally, Green Belt Plan and Yellow Belt Plan certificates, recognizing the ability of participating students to rigorously and methodologically analyze and solve problems, were awarded. The certifications are issued by Falconi Performance Consultants and Insper.

"It is a very special moment for all students, but also for us at Falconi. It is a partnership of many years with Insper, which we are very proud of, as we can contribute to the education of these excellent students," said Paulo Henrique Andrade, consultant at Falconi.
