He had an intuition: perhaps his future would be connected to building companies, an influence that also came from his family. What he did not imagine was that his undergraduate experience would become one of the most important foundations of his professional Journey — and, years later, of his decision to help create opportunities for future students. A graduate of Insper’s [Business Administration program](/en/programs/undergraduate/business-administration) in 2022, Pedro became the youngest Alumni Ambassador in the program in 2025 and one of the youngest partners in the venture capital industry in Latin America. He is a partner at [Norte Ventures](https://www.norte.ventures/) , a fund established in 2019 with a focus on early-stage technology companies. For Pedro, this trajectory is directly connected to the education he received. “Insper was absolutely fundamental in my life. I only got to where I am because of it,” he says. “It was a truly remarkable university experience, both because of the people I met and because of the foundation I built. To this day, I carry with me friendships, role models, and lessons that gave me the confidence and perspective to build the career I have today.” An education shaped by practice Looking back, Pedro highlights not only the academic education he received but also the practical experiences he found within the institution. Throughout his undergraduate studies, he developed a strong foundation in finance, covering topics such as accounting and financial markets. He also emphasizes the decisive role student organizations played in his development. For him, [InFinance](https://www.infinanceinsper.com/) was particularly impactful. It was there that he began learning through practice, making mistakes early, working alongside highly talented peers, and being exposed to professionals who already held prominent positions in the market. That experience contributed to his first job opportunity, which ultimately led him to Norte Ventures. “Student organizations develop talent in a very special way,” Pedro says. “There is a level of challenge, responsibility, and high performance that students impose on themselves. At the same time, it happens in a healthy, supportive environment that is incredibly valuable for people who are just getting started. It’s a rare combination.” This combination of rigor, practical experience, and a strong support network is one of the central pillars of his journey. According to Pedro, Insper accelerated lessons that would normally only come with entering the professional world, helping him understand financial markets, workplace dynamics, and career challenges. “I struggle to think of another place where this happens with such quality,” he says. “That’s why I feel I owe so much to Insper, perhaps everything, for the profession I have today and the role I play.” Contributing as a way to multiply opportunities This sense of gratitude explains his connection to the Scholarship Program and, more recently, his involvement with the Alumni Ambassadors group, an initiative of the Alumni Community created and led by those who have experienced firsthand the transformative power of an Insper education, with the goal of raising funds and expanding the reach of the Scholarship Program. For Pedro, contributing is a tangible way of giving back some of the opportunities he received. From an early age, he was involved in volunteer work and reflected on the idea of philanthropy. For a long time, he believed he would only be able to contribute meaningfully in the future, once he had accumulated greater financial resources. Over time, that perception changed. “I used to think that I would only do this once I was rich. But as time went by, I realized that this moment did not need to be some distant or unrealistic milestone. I was already in a position where I could help someone. That realization changed a lot for me.” What attracts him to the Scholarship Program is the clear connection between resources and impact. “You make a contribution and know exactly how it is transformed into access for someone else. It’s a very direct relationship between resources and impact,” he says. By becoming an ambassador and having his name associated with the Alumni Ambassadors Room — the first room collectively named by Insper alumni — Pedro also assumed a symbolic role within the community. Even so, he avoids viewing this recognition as a destination. “I’ve always liked the idea of giving back to the world more than it gave me because I consider myself a very fortunate person,” he says. “Of course, there was effort, hard work, and many challenges along the way. Nothing came for free. But I also recognize that I had opportunities that many people, including those very close to us, simply did not have.” For Pedro, this awareness is what gives meaning to contributing. He also challenges the idea that impact must be something grand to be meaningful. “To me, every action changes the world in some way. Every small impact is still an impact,” he says. “Everyone is capable of doing that right now, in the present, with the tools they already have.” This message summarizes the role Pedro occupies today within the Insper community: someone who recognizes the transformative power of his own education and chooses to actively participate so that others can have access to the same experience. “In the end, what motivates me most is exactly that: being able to help other people have a transformative opportunity like the one I had,” he says. “And if at some point I end up becoming a role model for someone in that process, even better. It simply means that more people are being positively impacted.”"}]
