The main role of business administrators involves planning and executing strategies aimed at achieving the highest possible performance in any market, whether a large industrial corporations, banks, family enterprises etc. Because they present this broad profile, effective administrators can work in many different industries:

Finance

Your role is to administrate resources efficiently and select projects to increase return on investment.

Marketing

You will work with product development, market research and optimizing market variables, such as price, distribution and communication.

Production Management

In this field you will develop processes and projects that seek to boost efficiency in production sectors.

Human Resources

Your mission is to provide employees at your company with the conditions they need to achieve their potential and high levels of performance.

Business Strategy

You will assist companies with their planning or work on consulting projects, recommending to managers and entrepreneurs the best paths to take in their specific industry.

The Business Administration program at Insper seeks to integrate all of these processes. Therefore, notwithstanding the specialization you choose, the program will prepare you to make an important contribution in helping companies and organizations achieve optimal performance.

During the first few semesters, students in the Business Administration and Economics programs take the same basic courses. However, in the fourth academic semester, the programs begin to follow different course curriculums. In the final year, you may select the courses you wish to take, choosing your area of specialization.

Through the sixth academic semester, classes are administered on a full-time basis, with classes in both the morning and afternoon periods. In the final year of the program, however, classes are administered only in the morning period, leaving the afternoon period free for you to participate in internship programs.
