Insper believes that the best conditions for learning occur when professors are engaged in theoretical or applied research projects in the areas of business administration and economics, and maintain exchanges with other professors, both in Brazil and abroad, which also helps to narrow the school's relationship with the best institutions worldwide.

In addition, Insper seeks to contribute to expanding the body of knowledge on the Brazilian reality. In this context, the institution's research area strives to develop and implement analytical methods for resolving Brazilian economic and financial problems.
Whenever possible, this work includes the statistical analysis of real data and statistical and econometric methods. Within this same spirit, Insper collaborates with important communication vehicles, preparing investment analyses, and offering analysts to discuss issues in various different areas.
Research work is disseminated through both the Insper website, where economic and financial texts for discussion are available (Insper Working Papers and Finance Lab Working Papers), and through the Finance Lab and the risk portal Risktech.com.br.
Insper also holds weekly academic seminars in the fields of Economics and Finance for guest researchers, with the participation of professionals from the School and from visiting institutions.
The School also promotes international seminars in various areas, such as economics, education, finance and econometrics, with the participation of researchers from foreign institutions. Given the qualifications of the speakers and the relevance of the issues covered, these events enjoy broad media coverage.
